Why Hagat Group Exists
Most cities carry the same contradiction: properties sitting empty while people go without safe housing. It isn’t a shortage of homes — it’s a missing connection between the person who owns one and the person who urgently needs one.
Hagat Group was built to be that connection.
We didn’t want to build a conventional letting agency, and we didn’t set out to run a charity either. What we built sits deliberately between the two — professional enough that a landlord feels secure handing over their property, and responsive enough that a local authority facing a genuine emergency knows we’ll pick up.
Holding that middle ground is harder than it sounds. It means turning down shortcuts that would be easier for us but worse for the people being housed. It means managing a landlord’s property as carefully as we’d want our own managed, and treating every person we help place as a person — not a reference number.
We’re still early in proving this. We don’t have years of case studies behind us yet. What we do have is total clarity on what doing this properly looks like, and the discipline to hold ourselves to that from day one — because the alternative is becoming another slow-moving name in a system that already fails too many people.
